A wanted man has surrendered to police in Lewisville after a standoff in an IHOP restaurant early Tuesday morning.

David Lee Horton, 33, of Hurst was arrested in Lewisville on two warrants issued from Plano for aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping and another from Dallas County for vehicle burglary. He was also wanted in connection to a Radio Shack robbery that NBC 5 reported on Monday evening.

At about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, officers received a call to respond to a man acting suspiciously at an IHOP Restaurant off of Interstate 35E in Lewisville.

According to the Lewisville Police Department, an employee of the restaurant overheard Horton and a female talking about a stolen vehicle and called police.

As officers arrived, Horton ran to the bathroom and barricaded himself inside. The restaurant was evacuated after Horton claimed he had a gun and refused to leave the bathroom.

SWAT units sent in a robot to monitor the situation, which discovered the man had moved from the bathroom into the rafters above the dining room. Police said they spotted evidence of broken ceiling tiles.

The man tried to surrender to police from the roof of the restaurant, but there was no way for him to come down safely. He went back inside the restaurant, climbed down through the ceiling and into police custody.

Two women who were with the man are being questioned by investigators. Those women had previously told officers that the man was armed.

Customers and workers of the restaurant were all safely evacuated and traffic was not impacted.

Flames ripped through a vacant warehouse in Dallas early Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in an empty warehouse at 9915 Overlake Drive.

Dallas Fire-Rescue said 92 firefighters and 20 fire trucks responded to the fire.

Windy conditions made fighting a four-alarm fire in Dallas difficult, fire crews said.

Fire crews said the size of the structure also gave them trouble. Firefighters believe the building was unoccupied.

No injuries were reported.

Two people were critically injured in an explosion and fire Tuesday morning after smoking on a catwalk over oil storage tanks, officials say.

According to Van Zandt County Fire Marshal Chuck Allen, at about 3 a.m. firefighters were called to a fire at an oil storage facility north of Van along state Highway 110.

At the facility are at least six 400-barrel fiberglass storage tanks, three of which caught fire and exploded. Multiple fire departments responded to the scene and ultimately decided to let the fire burn itself out.

A short time later, a 24-year-old man with burns to his face, chest and arms, and a 24-year-old woman also critically injured, showed up at the Van Fire Department seeking medical attention. Both were both taken to the East Texas Medical Center in Tyler before being transferred to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.

The names of the victims have not been released and neither person has been identified as an employee of the storage facility.

Allen said the victims were believed to be trespassing and smoking on a catwalk above the storage tanks.

Allen added that most of the tanks had very little crude oil in them at the time of the explosion.

The fire marshal is working to identify which company owns the facility.

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo will go pink this week in honor of breast cancer survivors.

Anyone headed to the show on Tuesday is encouraged to wear pink in an effort to help raise awareness.

The Susan G Komen Foundation will recieve 50-percent of the proceeds from ticket sales.

Last year the Stock Show raised nearly $12,000 for the greater Fort Worth chapter of the organization.

Rangers Address Report Cruz a Client of PED Clinic

The Texas Rangers have issued a response to a Miami NewTimes article that alleges slugger Nelson Cruz was a client at a clinic that sold performance enhancing drugs.

The report alleges, based on a list of clients and other information brought forward by a former employee of the Biogenesis anti-aging clinic, that the clinic sold performance enhancing drugs including human growth hormone, testosterone and anabolic steroids.

The NewTimes reported the client list to include a number of high-profile athletes including Cruz, Alex Rodriguez, Bartolo Colon and Melky Cabrera, among others.

"The Texas Rangers were contacted late last week by Miami New Times regarding the story posted this morning. At that time, the Rangers contacted Major League Baseball on that inquiry. The team has no further comment."

According to the Miami NewTimes article, the chief of the clinic, Anthony Bosch, wrote in a 2012 notebook that he sold $4,000 worth of "product" to the Rangers slugger. Below is an excerpt of the Miami NewTimes report:

But there are also several prominent professionals in Bosch's records who have never before been linked to steroid use. According to his July 2012 client sheet, Bosch sold $4,000 of product to Nelson Cruz, whom he nicknames "Mohamad." Cruz, the power-hitting Dominican outfielder for the Texas Rangers, has whacked 130 bombs in his eight-year career without any links to performance-enhancing drugs. Until now. Bosch writes in his 2012 book: "Need to call him, go Thur to Texas, take meds from April 5-May 5, will owe him troches and... and will infuse them in May."

The NewTimes report said it tried to contact Cruz for comment, through the Rangers, but that there was no response.

Cabrera and Colon were both suspended last year for violating baseballs PED policy.

A spring-like pattern pushing into North Texas means there is a threat for severe thunderstorms across the Metroplex today.

A line of storms is expected to develop around midday in DFW with the potential for hail and damaging winds.

Plano police issued a warrant Monday night for a Euless man wanted in connection with an armed robbery.

Police are looking for David Lee Horton Jr., 33, and have charged him with aggravated robbery for a robbery on Jan. 21 at a Radio Shack on the 3300 block of Dallas Parkway, just off of the Parker Road exit of the Dallas North Tollway.

Horton went into the store, displayed a handgun, forced the store's clerks into a back storeroom and restrained them, police said.

Horton then stole cash and electronics from the store before he fled, police said.

Police released a photograph of Horton along with an image of the vehicle authorities believe he may be driving. Police said Horton was last seen in a white, four-door vehicle, possibly a Honda Civic, with a sunroof.

UPDATE: David Lee Horton was arrested Tuesday morning at a Lewisville IHOP after barricading himself in a bathroom and refusing to leave.
